Highlights 2010

• WEEE Ireland still collecting twice the EU target of 4kg of WEEE per Capita in 2010.
• WEEE Ireland collected 28,529 tonnes.
• Over 100,000 Big Blue Battery Collection boxes were distributed to retailers and other outlets.
• Over 950,000 My Battery Recycling Box boxes were distributed to households.

Our Collections & Logistics department is responsible for the collection of WEEE and waste batteries in our designated areas. Their duties include everything from the distribution of collection containers, such as, liteboxes and battery boxes, to ensuring collection points have the correct protocols and are equipped with appropriate contractor details. Essentially, the team oversees the smooth coordination of thousands of collections of WEEE and waste batteries.
