Letter from the Chairman of the WEEE Ireland Board of Directors, Mr. Kieran Whelan
Dear Member,
I am happy to submit to you our annual report for 2010. Whilst our operations and volumes managed continued to improve you will see that this year we have seen
a significant reduction in the fee’s chargeable under the Producer Recycling Fund (PRF) contribution which in turn has led to a reduction in our deferred income by in excess of €2.3m. This is a trend that will continue as we have seen a further reduction in PRF charges in 2010 and at time of writing PRF’s have for all categories with the exception of Category 1 – Large Household Appliances (LHA) ceased.
